Nintendo DS online multiplayer is here. Play DS games online with friends using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC).

Save state compatibility

To support online play, the DS emulator now uses an updated BIOS. This means existing save states may not load with the new BIOS.

If you're affected, here's what to do:

1. Go to Settings -> BIOS and click Install Legacy BIOS in the Nintendo DS section
2. Load your save state with the legacy BIOS
3. Save your progress in-game (not a save state)
4. Change your save settings to Latest In-Game Save and open the game to confirm it loads correctly
5. Remove the legacy BIOS and set your save settings back to whatever you prefer

Your in-game saves are not affected — only save states created with the old BIOS.
